General Call for Papers

The Nebraska Psychological Society (NPS) and the Association for Psychological and Educational Research in Kansas (PERK) will hold a joint convention on Friday, November 5th and Saturday, November 6th, at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. This year there is aTeaching Pre-Conference that will be held on Friday and the Regular Conference will be held on Saturday.

Some general guidelines:

Paper presentations are allocated 12 minutes with an additional 3 minutes for questions. To be courteous to other presenters, you will be asked to stop the presentation if you run long.

Posters will be displayed in 1-hour sessions and should be legible at a distance of 4 feet. Easels with 48 x 48 inch foam board will be provided. Participants must be present for the duration of the session to answer questions. It is recommended that participants have copies of their paper to pass out and/or a sign-up sheet where interested parties can request a copy of the paper.

When you submit to present a paper/poster/symposia/
workshop/demonstration, you are making a commitment that if accepted, you will be able to present your paper whatever time you are scheduled during the conference. DO NOT submit a paper unless you are committed to attending the convention and presenting it.

Submission of presentation does not constitute convention registration. Conference registration is handled separately. You may submit your registration the same time you submit your submission form. If your presentation is not accepted, your registration can be refunded prior to the convention. (You must request a refund).

Manuscripts previously published or submitted will not be considered for presentation.

PERK, in conjunction with NPS, will be holding a Paper Competition for Undergraduate Students, Graduate Students, and Faculty Papers with monetary awards. Completed manuscripts must be submitted for this competition. Click on the PERK website for further information and submission of these papers. Note: Submission to the Paper Competition is separate. You must complete your submission and registration on this website before submitting at the PERK website.
